2-01-2007: - In our 2006 News section we were very happy to announce Julie Smith would lead our walk unless it was a nice day in which case she would be training on Mt. Rainier for her upcoming climb of Mt. Everest. It was a beautiful, albeit very cold day so Julie was on Mt. Rainier instead of at the Matchmaker. She is going to be with us this year! Did she make it on Mt. Everest? Let the smile be your first clue! Click on images to see larger view:

2-01-2007: We are so lucky in this community to have people so willing to give back to the community that cheered them on to great success. Julie Smith is a great example. Calvin Armstrong is too! Calvin will join Julie in leading the 2007 Walk. If we are lucky enough to have it sunny and bright again, Calvin will provide the shade! An XXL T-shirt won't fit! Calvin was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles and is now a Washington Redskin. Calvin played his High School Ball at Centralia High School and College Ball at WSU. Click here to read his Bio with Honors and Stats.
Calvin Armstrong is a football player/athlete that made it all the way to the Pro's. Julie Smith is a Lab Worker at Providence Centralia and a Mt. Climber that made it to the top of the world. That describes what they are; who they are is even more impressive!
